WVGC strongly represented at the 2017 Australian Gymnastics Championships

Woden Valley Gymnastics was represented at the Australian National Championships by the following gymnasts:



Six athletes from the MAG Program where selected as part of the State team. Jonathan Allen, Alex Barras and Blair Stewart all walked away from the competition with medals.Our level 10 Athlete was not so lucky. Unfortunately Zac injured himself on vault and was wheeled from the competition arena. Reilly Flanagan finished 6th all around for his level and Milo Whittingham 37tth for his level.








The WAG Program proudly sent 3 athletes to the National Championship in May to represent the ACT. Jenna Fisk helped the Level 7 team to a 3rd place finish and also qualified to individual finals. Charlotte Murphy and Rebecca Rainey helped bring home a bronze medal with the Level 8 team in another strong showing for team ACT. Rebecca matched her result from the previous year and was once again named National Champion on balance beam. She followed up that magnificent effort with a silver medal on floor and 4th place in the all-around.  







Benjamin Brown: 1st in Men's U17 DMT, 2nd in Men's U17 SYNC, 6th in Men's U17 TRP

Sam Butler: 31st in Men's U13 TRP

Eloise Gardiner: 33rd in Women's U13 TRP

Zaffa Hairsine: 10th in Men's U11 DMT
